Day 7 - Arolla to La Sage
We got a later start on this day because we thought it was going to be a fairly chill day. About 0.5 miles into the hike I realized that my water hose spout had broken, so we turned back for the town sport store and luckily were able to buy a new one.
Leaving Arolla very excited about my new spout!
The hike was a bit harder than expected with lots of rocky, rolling hills.
We made it to Lac Bleu, which was busy with day hikers and very beautiful. We hiked down into la Gouille for pasta and risotto, meals that were a staple for us on the hike.
The views were incredible.
We hiked down and then up to La Sage, where we saw a cute outdoor sauna that would be a dream! (next to Grant’s hiking poles)
We made it to Hôtel de La Sage and the dining room had incredible views.
It was nice to have an Aperol spritz to relax after the day.
Our room for the night was very cozy (nowhere to dry laundry that night!) and Grant was taller than the door and his head grazed the ceiling, but it was very cute.
