What's the Haute route?
The Walker’s Haute Route is a hiking trail through the French and Swiss Alps that starts in Chamonix, France and ends in Zermatt, Switzerland. There is a lot of elevation gain and loss each day, and there are various paths you can choose to take a long the way. It’s common to stay in cabins along the way (which tend to have shared dorm-room style accomodations), hotels, or camp.
