What's the Haute route?
The Walker’s Haute Route is a hiking trail through the French and Swiss Alps that starts in Chamonix, France and ends in Zermatt, Switzerland. There’s a lot of elevation gain and loss each day, and there are various paths you can choose to take along the way.
As you hike it’s common to stay in cabins (which tend to have shared dorm-room style accomodations), hotels, or to camp.
